  1. Training Study and Research
  • Developing and implementing a variety of action-oriented teaching materials derived from the strategic and fiscal year plans,
  • Undertaking research activities by benchmarking strategic focus areas and
  • Formulating and expanding best practices that help to achieve strategic focus areas


  1. Asset Disclosure and Registration


  • The FEACC has also been implementing the Assets Disclosure and Registration Proclamation No. 668/2002 that is expected to play a key role in the fight against corruption. The FEACC, which is in charge of the registration of the assets and financial interests of elected persons, political appointees and public servants, has launched the registration as of December 1, 2010. The execution of the proclamation is believed to have a paramount importance towards the practical implementation of the provision in Article 12 of the country‚Äôs constitution, which states that enhancing transparency in the conduct of public affairs with a view to strengthening the bond and creating mutual trust between the public and the government,
  • The implementation of the proclamation is also a timely response to international obligations Ethiopia has entered through singing various agreements. The following are the activities of the Directorate,
  • Maintaining and updating information of the management and staff of institutional asset registrants (identifying and administering those who have registered, not registered, and those who have dropped out and renewed),
  • Enabling all management and staff of institutions to register and renew their assets and properties.
  • Verifying the genuineness of the registered asset information,
  • Providing information of the registered asset to the applicant and
  • Prevention and management Conflict of interests.


  1. Anti-Corruption legal Advice, Implementation and Experience Formulation


  • Improving laws, regulations and directives,
  • Finding and adapting good practices on ethics building and anti-corruption from international anti-corruption institutions,
  • Identifying the provisions that have not been implemented in the execution of the existing international anti-corruption conventions that Ethiopia has adopted, and reasoning out why they are not implemented, and providing detailed recommendations for their implementation,
  • Monitoring and reporting on Measurement Standards of Transparency International Corruption vulnerability to the Commission and other stakeholders and making adequate preparations in accordance with the standards and
  • Carrying out the required activities on behalf of the Commission by providing the necessary information and preparations for the International Anti-Corruption Convention, where our country will be reviewed and review others.


  1. Regional Affairs Coordination


  • Offering capacity building training to Regional Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commissions on corruption,
  • Conducting performance appraisal and providing written feedback
  • Harmonizing legal framework of the REACCs with the FEACC
  • Organizing joint forums and undertaking performance evaluation.
